Description
I have had five of these early (1971-75) Chevy vans and this one is in the best overall condition of them all. ZERO rust. Plus, I dropped the price to $2850 today (was $3995) as I really need to move this van down the road...
If you know anything about these early Chevy vans, you know they are great investments as they are highly sought after and very desirable. They run great and are easy and cheap to fix.
It would make the ultimate "surf van", "scooby doo van," "custom van," "camping van," "camper"...whatever you're into.
It is a no-smog 1972 Chevrolet G-10 (1/2-Ton) long wheelbase (177" w.b.) "longy." Great for longboarders or campers as there is tons of room inside.
This one has no windows in the side door AND no windows in the rear doors (rare). It is very hard to see inside and great for keeping prying eyes off of your stuff!
It runs great! It has a strong-running 350 cu. in. V8 engine with an automatic transmission. These vans get pretty good mileage, too - around 15-18 m.p.g. on the freeway if you cruise them.
It has a nice interior with NO cracks in the tan dash. Seats are original with covers. Doghouse is nice. Interior is empty and has its original red-orange paint (factory). The interior paint is super clean and nice with NO rust!
The exterior is very presentable with a recent white-paint job (it was painted red-orange from the factory) that has just been buffed out. It has absolutely zero rust and is in good condition overall.
I just replaced the rear brake shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. The front disc brakes are in good condition and are rare on a ’72 - usually the early vans had front drum brakes.
It has 5-bolt 15"x8.5" genuine Ansen Sprint aluminum slot wheels on the rear with 5-bolt 15"x7" (U.S. Mags?) slots on the front. It has big and little tires and a serious, "rake" (nose-down attitude). It looks great!
Current reg. and title in my name. Runs great! Price is negotiable. Located in Monrovia - 20 minutes from P
